Description of project

YTC’s associate company, Pembinaan Yeng Tong Sdn. Bhd. was selected to construct the cooling water intake settling basin and shore protection works at cooling water outfall discharge culvert. It was part of a massive 3×700 Megawatt Coal Fired Power Plant at Tanjung Bin, Johor.

This project was challenging because YTC was required to construct a Temporary Protection Bund to prevent seawater from entering Cooling Water Intake Pump-pit which was being construct con-currently by other contractors. But with thorough knowledge in marine construction, the project was completed on schedule within the budget and satisfaction of the main contractor and client.
